The Game Design Summer Camp at Chabot College is a space where all students (college and high school) attend game design workshops for hands-on experience with the design process, current programs and techniques for the game industry, engineering equipment and 3D printing, and inter-disciplinary collaboration with other students. Attendees of the Game Design camp include college students and professional mentors from the engineering and music industries.
The Game Design camp is tied to the Chabot College Game Lab and Engineering department and will host future game jams. These are events where everyone is welcome to make a game from scratch in a set period, such as one week. The game jams end with a judging period and showcase at Chabot College.
